I haven't seen the movie, but I saw its trailer and it seemed like a story full of love and courage. As soon as I can I will read the book. I love watching movies, but I love even more reading the books that gave rise to these movies. Books contain much more information, details, much more excitement and magic.

In fact, I'm avoiding going to the movies. I am not sure I want to see the movie Le Petit Prince. I love the book so much... Do you recommend the film?

I saw the movie! The Fault in Our Stars is an incredible film. It's a very deep, thought-provoking movie It goes in a lot deeper than a normal romance film would do, and that adds more effect to the film. By the time the end credits rolled, my eyes were dripping with tears and to say that's rare while watching a film is an understatement. A powerful, well- meaning story about cancer-stricken teens falling into such a passionate love.

I started reading the first few pages of this book, but I don´t like the format in which the book is displayed. It is boring me to read, because those letters are so small and the lines are so concentrated ... So I made a decision: I stopped reading it and I downloaded the movie. I hadn’t even seen the movie. From what I read, it seems to me a good story full of tenderness. The movie session is scheduled for tomorrow night, in my house! If anyone needs the movie, I can provide it! ;)

I saw the movie, I didn't read the book. I loved it, it was very touching and deep. For those who have or have had family with this disease, it shows the reality of what it is to live with a loved one and the situations from day to day that the disease brings.
The film tells the story of a 16 year old girl suffering from a thyroid's cancer. Hazel, due to her depressed state, is forced by her parents to join a support group. In this group she finds the love of her life, Augustus. Former basketball player who also suffered from cancer, although in remmission.
They are two very different young people, Augustus wants to make his mark in the world, Hazel does not care about this and sees forget fullness as inevitable. Hazel learned this with Peter Van Houten, author of her favorite book “An Imperial Affliction”. The book's problem is the lack of its end, it was unfinished. Hazel wants to know its end and together they go to Amsterdam to meet the author. In Amsterdam they fall in love and enjoy what little time they have left.

I didn’t read the book but I saw the movie and it is really touching and is surely very deep! This story is focused in love passion and sadness. Definitely an amazing story, a great movie with a lesson filled with truth, integrity and compassion.
The “Fault in Our Stars” brings us the story of two extraordinary teenagers, Hazel and August, who share an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, once they met and fell in love at a cancer support group. Then the two affirm their love and support for each other. Even though Hazel and Gus are fictional characters, cancer unfortunately is a problem in the real world.

Hello everyone,

I am going to be very honest. Although I know very well the story of the film, because my sister, whom I admire so much, and who I am so proud of, was very keen to see it and told me all about it. However, at this time in my life, I do not intend to see it.

Teacher Natali and all of you that are reading this, are probably asking: but how is it possible to not want to see such a touching movie?! The truth is that I don’t feel I have the strength in me to see it, because I fear that it will make me feel weaker because it will make me relive things that I wish had never happened ...

I have lived closely with the reality of cancer. 5 years ago, while my only sister, younger than me, was only 25 years old had to fight against cancer in the thyroid, she had to be hospitalized for treatment in the IPO two days after she excitedly celebrated my wedding. It was as if nothing bad was happening to her. We also lost an aunt 41 years old, victim of brain cancer, two years after having had a breast cancer.

At the moment, I have my mother's cousin, also in her 40s, who still continues to fight this disease that insists on trying to go through her body. And I see my cousin, daughter of my aunt who died that is only 21 years old, is seriously considering the possibility of doing a mastectomy because her grandmother has already passed away at a young age with the same disease.
It is because of all of this, that I say, at least for now, that I don’t feel like watching the film, nor read the book ... There are still today images that get into my thoughts: I believe that no one remains the same after seeing a child, after leaving the Hospital, still in the car park, vomiting, certainly after doing treatments. He looked completely debilitated because of a "cursed" disease that seemed to have stolen everything but his soul ... What I would like for to happen, idealistically, I know, is that no one in this world had to go through something similar, or see someone you love, suffer so much, specially because not always patients get through this ... However I recognize that, little by little, I'm learning to accept that it is part of life, the bad things and the good things, and what is the most important thing in life, is the quality time spent with those we love.

Olga, I was very impressed with your story. If I were in your place, I also wouldn't want to relive that past. The truth is that reading this book, it could bring you bad memories.
I recognize in you the courage for everything that you and your family bore.

I read the book and seen the movie , but in all cases that I red the book and saw the film after , I try not to compare each one to the other , because although they have the same story , one is my imagination that draw faces and places with the words , while the film, though magical, cuts a little bit of our imagination .
Of all the books I red and saw the film , I advise "Captain Corelli's Mandolin " , of course , first to read and then to see the film that tops two great actors : Nicolas Cage and Penelope Cruz .
As for "The fault in our stars" I think both, the book and the film, show that we should pursue our dreams and live life ... . After all we are here passing through ... . It can be fast or slow our passage ahead ... what matters is to live day by day ... . And live it to it fullest.

I never read the book, but I saw the movie.
"Fault in our stars" tells the story of a young girl, a 16 years old, with thyroid cancer. Her mother, thinking that her daughter is very depressed and spends a lot of time thinking about death, advises her to attend to a support group. There she meets a 17 years old boy named Augustus Waters and falls in love with him.
This is a very intense and exciting movie. This film portrays, unfortunately, a very cruel disease that doesn’t choose sex or age.

I have not seen the movie or read the book . I do not like movies or books involving terminal illnesses,because I had a few family members and very close friends with those diseases is a subject that brings me bad memories and that personally touches me a lot, however it is a story that reports facts of real life, that we must have the courage to face them, however is not easy to accept them , since we put the same question , why ...Today, a friend of mine was hospitalized for having a terminal illness, so I apologize for not writing more about this subject , since it is a subject which to me is very sensitive .
